Course Outline:
Session One: Sunny and Shadow Self
Where do you mostly spend your day - in your Shadow or Sunny SELF? By looking at our parents' and grandparents' parenting styles, family traditions and sibling/peer relationships, we can identify the beliefs we took away from childhood. Learning to correct our self-talk may be challenging at first, but can be simplified and made more fun through practicing Lofty Questions and journaling.
Session Two: The 5 Personality Types
Getting triggered is a given in our daily lives, but what matters is our response to the triggers. This class gives you insight on how to recognize different personality types in order to navigate safely through the challenging territory of human relationships.
Session Three: Seven Levels of Intimacy, Basic Communication Skills and Intro to Safe Conversations®
As Dr. Harville Hendrix says: "Talking is one of the most dangerous things we do in life." It has to be learned. As we grow up, we usually get fairly poor examples from people around us. We will introduce topics such as the Seven Levels of Intimacy, conflict resolutions, deeper sharing and Safe Conversations.
Session Four: Conscious Dating and The Intellectual Foreplay
Two MUST READ books as preparation for a matching or dating process. One book stimulates self-awareness and inspires the reader to create a list of wants and needs. It also teaches scouting and sorting, and how to watch out for red flags and not get lost in emotions during the process.
The second book is a great guide to asking important questions. The authors themselves started with a long distance relationship and succeeded to great understanding of each other's goals, needs and wants.
